Canon Digital Cameras

I've been looking for a digital camera for a while, but I want to make sure I gather plenty of information since it is an expensive purchase. I've looked at several different models, but I keep coming back to the Canon Powershot line. Specifically the S3 and the S5. I know the idea is to keep improving the line, but does anyone know what the improvements are and what additional features the S5 may have? Pros and Cons between the two, experience with lag time, battery life and such?

Any help would be much appriciated.
