Is a Canon EOS Digital Rebel XT better than an XS?
I'm looking to step up from my very simple point and shoot Canon powershot, and I was wondering which camera would be a better buy. I'm not worried about figuring out the controls or settings since I have had plenty of experience using DSLR camera, I've just yet to purchase one for myself.
As far as I can tell the XS is better than the XT, but I'm not sure.
And also, is the XS better than the XTI?
The XS is the newer version of the XT. So no, the XT is not *better* than the XS. That being said, most of the *improvements* made between the XT and XS aren't that great, so if you can get an XT for cheap, go for it.
As for the XTi, it's a little confusing. The XTi is a more advanced model than both the XT and XS, but it's the same generation as the XT. It has now been replaced by the XSi (and soon, the TSi). SO, the XTi has more advanced features than the XS, but it's older. Personally, I'd go with a XTi over an XS, because those features matter to me.
