which camera settings with canon 580 ex flash?

which camera settings for canon 580 ex flash on canon 5D, to get large depth of field ? i set 580 to ETTL
when i use with P, camera will tend to use large apertures, when i use AP then shutter will stay open too long. when i use M, manual setting i have to measure new distance every time, i or subject moves and set aperture accordingly, which works, but takes too long.

Actually, the manual mode on the camera is really the best for shooting with flash and with your fine 580 EX flash in the ttl mode (not manual) and putting the shutter speed to the sync setting or slower, your photos should come out perfectly.

On the 5D, the flash sync is 1/200th second. So, for instance, in the manual mode, set your shutter for 1/200th second or less and the aperture at say f/8. Then with your flash in the TTL mode, take a shot. You will know soon enough if you have to open the aperture more depending upon how far away from the subject you are. Generally, those settings are good from about 6 feet out to 15 or 20 feet

Anyone who had an E18 problem with there canon camera and managed to solve it themselves let me know how. Especially if it is a IXUS 50.

I have a "Canon Power Shot S2" digital camera that I bought in 2006. Is it compatible with "SD HC" cards?

The card says: "SDHC" and there is a number "2" with a partial circle around it, next to the "SDHC". I don't want to take it out of the package if it doesn't work. I didn't realize it said "SDHC" and "2" when I bought it.

I googled it, and i looked at one of two pages of information, and i read that the S2 was not compatible with SDHC cards, but, you could get a regular 2 or 4GB SD card. When you think about it, two gigabytes is a lot, you can store plenty, especially when you consider the resolution of the Canon S2.

Why digital camera price varies among various online stores?

I have an idea of buying a digital camera online. Canon A710 IS costs $260+ in Amazon, $310 in Buys.com, $340 in Circuit City etc.
Why is this huge difference in price?
Does Amazon sells used cameras?
Which online store is reliable?

Always check www.bhphoto.com first, to have a reliable benchmark on what the price should be for new, US warranty cameras.

Where can I find a good digital photo printers in London?

I have a digital photo I wanted printed, taken on an Canon EOS model camera. The print is for my Dad for his Birthday, and I want it too look good.

I have used the "digital printing services" in places like Jessops and Boots for other photos, however I find they often get the levels wrong, often too dark, or the colours are slighty out. So I'm looking for a professional printers who can print the photo as it looks.

Any help or suggestion on places to try would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!

Look in your phone book and call shops offering custom printing. Tell them what you want. Take a reference print in and ask them to match it.
